Food in the Czech republic

Typical food of the Czech republic are these meals: pork with dumplings and cabbage, dumplings with roast sirloin, cabbage soup with a slice of bread, chips and potatoes. There is a very good cake called Marlenka. We also like pancakes with fruit and ice-cream and whipped cream, jam and chocolate. Czech people like bean, lentil and pea soup, and also fish with potatoes. In big towns there are fast food restaurants and people eat chips, fried meat and cheeseburgers there. There are a lot of salads, for example carrot salad, cucumber salad and vegetables salad with cheese.

The most favourite food in the Czech republic is: dumplings with cabbage and meat. We often eat potatoes, rice, potato pancakes and a lot of meat and cheese. My favourite food is sweet dumplings filled with fruits served with cottage cheese and melted butter. For breakfast we often eat bread and butter and cheese or jam. I do not like meat. I like vegetables and fruit. My favourite fruit is bunch of grapes and my favourite vegetables is garden salad.

Czech people eat a lot of meat and vegetables. We like boiling, frying, cooking – all the recipes. We like eating pork, beef, chicken and deer meat. Czech people do not eat cats and dogs. Favourite side dishes are potatoes, pasta and dumplings. We like a lot of cheese, eggs, salami and spread too.  Typical Czech food is pork, cabbage and sliced boiled dumplings. Czech people like chicken with rice and schnitzels with chips. In the Czech republic many people do not eat mushrooms but the like collecting it. We also like fruit and vegetables. Many people eat sweet meals. We usually cook home and they do not go  to the restaurants because it is very expensive. I think there are no good canteens in the Czech republic.

Food is an important part of celebrations and visiting our friends and family. People buy food in shops and Czech people grow vegetables and fruit in their gardens. Czech people like eating meat. My favourite meal is chicken and pork meat, I also like potatoes and pasta. Our national food is pork, cabbage and dumplings. At Christmas people do not eat before dinner, then they eat fried carp with potato salad and some sweets. My family like past with tomato sauce, pasta salad – my mother cooks it very well.
